Lay SP

Postby toni » Fri May 21, 2010 8:08 pm

I need a developer for following job:

I want to lay horses in the place market between certain price ranges. The bot should lay my selections when SP is between 1.5 and 2.3 or between 2.9 and 5.5.

Is it possible to autmate this process and can someone help me?

Any offer is welcome.

Best regards.

Sorry but your links couldn´t help me.

Is it generally possible to lay horses at SP between ceartain odds ranges? With the standard betfair platform I can set odds limits with the SP but only for max. odds. As I told above my horses must match the odds ranges 1.5 to 2.3 or 2.9 to 5.5. So I need the opportunity to indicate the min. odds also. The bet should matched with the SP if odds range is correct.

OS, Michael or any other can help me?

Regards.

Toni

P.S.
I hope I haven´t confused anybody with may bad english.

Does this file do what you need? http://www.mediafire.com/?lenzkjkhhym

On the selections worksheet
Column A is the list of the names of horses you want to trade
Column B is stake based on current bank and % in cell N2
Column C indicates BACK or LAY bet
Column D&E is the first range of odds you are willing to trade
Column E&F is the second range of odds you are willing to trade

Then on Market worksheet
AG5 is set to 1 which will fire a bet 1 second before the scheduled off if current odds are within ranges above. It's not quite SP but this could be adapted to fire x seconds after the race has started using the SP price

Hi OS!

Thank you for your help.

I have done this way with the conditional bets option so far. But it isn´t exact that I want because in case of delays the odds could move too much.

Your other idea to fire x seconds after race has started pleases me better. But before we go on with this idea I want to proof if the following way is possible.

BA proves the odds one second before start. If the odds are between the odds range 1.5 to 2.3 or 2.9 to 5.5 the bot fires one of the following possible bets:

range 1.5 to 2.3: LAY at SP max. odds 2.3
range 2.9 to 5.5: LAY at SP max. odds 5.5

Can you help me with this, OS?

Regards.

Hi toni,

Yes it's possible. I just want to ask you a few questions?

When a race goes in play the Betfair SP becomes known but the actual odds often jump and are a little erratic

Eg
1. Race is suspended and goes in play with SP 2.2
2. When market is no longer suspended and in play actual odds available are 2.5

Do you want to
a) lay at BFSP = 2.2
b) lay at current odds 2.5
c) no longer lay
?

Also just so I'm clear what you want, when you say "LAY at SP max. odds 2.3", if betfair SP is 1.7 when it goes in play do you want to
a) lay at 1.7?
b) lay at 2.3?

Hi Os!

Once more thank you for your help.

I want lay at BFSP and not in play. As I said the bot should check the odds 1 second before starting time. If eg. the lay price at this time is 1.8 the bot should place a laybet at BFSP with max. odds 2.3. If the odds are 2.4 the bot should do nothing. And if the odds are 3.5 the bot should fire a bet at BFSP with max. odds 5.5. With one thing I am not sure. Should we check the lay price or the last price matched?

I hope I have explained it understandable what I want.

Regards.

This file http://www.mediafire.com/?ojyjnuujyky

1. Checks current LAY price at 1 second before the official off only (therfore there is only a 1 second window where prices are checked and a possible trigger will fire)
2. If LAY price in column H is between your ranges then a LAY bet will fire with odds of maximum of your range

Eg. 1 second before the off with ranges set to
Range 1 - 1.5 - 2.3
Range 2 - 2.9 - 5.5

If
Odds = 1.8 then a LAY bet is fired with odds 2.3
Odds = 2.5 no bet is fired
Odds = 3.0 then a LAY bet is fired with odds 5.5
Odds = 6.0 no bet is fired

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
