Newbie needing Excel hand-holding and programs

Postby Ern1e » Tue Sep 07, 2010 10:29 am

Colleague and I have been putting our heads together (2 brain cells being better than 1) and are fumbling for a triggered system. We've been using Marketfeeder Pro in Test Mode. He is not happy with its performance and has pushed me to look at BA. However, I have NO idea how to start - how to populate the spreadsheets from Betfair; whether or not there is a test mode in BA; most of all, how to program our ideas!

Bottom line: I'd appreciate guidance and, most likely, to have a developer put together a program, say, to trigger Back selections at Price A, then Lay if the price rises above B, whether before or after the start. However, as we are trying out various approaches, there may be more programs wanted.

I look forward to reading your thoughts and quotes

There is no test mode on BA, when you open the program up there is a help meue that has extensive files to help you with the program and excel, there is also a section in the forum with some example sheet if you take a look at them they might give you an idea.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
