sharing excel sheets

Postby macarony » Thu Apr 11, 2013 10:31 am

With Neil too busy at the moment I think it would be a good idea to share, one of my excel sheets.

not everyone can or as the time to write programs.
So I was thinking of posting a simple bot that Neil made for me.

It is a simple bot that you place your selections and the bot scrolls though one by one stopping at a winner, it also has the option of tick offset and green up.
Just wondering what everyone thinks?

Unless Neil had some objection to you posting up his routines/coding I see no reason not to.

One of the main reasons this forum has flourished is down to the willingness of the users to share code and help others with coding problems etc.

Yes I think you could be right about Neil.
I also forgot to say that it is a double up after a loss bot

Just waiting to hear back from Neil if he objects to me sharing this workbook.
If it is OK by him I will post it up, hopefully others might also share one of their workbooks.
Betting Assistant is a brilliant piece of software, but unless you can write programs you will never get the full use out of BA. That is why I am willing to share one of mine that dosen't give too much away.

It's a very nice thought, and I hope Neil gives his consent because even fairly experienced coders may find some different techniques that improve the efficiency of their code.

Thanks for sharing the sheet.

Helpfile needed with this Excel sheet.

On the quick pick list only add the markets you need( All UK Place ) or it will place bets on both

I only had the place market in the quick picklist and it placed bets on the winmarket. There was oopen another tab with winmarket, not linked at the sheet.

What about the Offset bet ticks, used for trading?

You will need the latest version of BA.
then on the market tab clear quick pick list then add only the markets you need. Then auto select market at a certain time.
on the excel tab click log current prices, a window will open chose the workbook, then where it says worksheet charge from control to gruss click ok
for the tick offset on the control sheet there is a box for you to put in a value, then there is a check box for green up.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
