3 separate bets, all trigged via excel VBA as soon as the race goes in play.

Thanks. I'll see if I can reproduce it.

I've managed to find another race where by placing a CLOSEC trigger, I can consistently crash Gruss.

Let me know if you want the example, or if its tied into the previous issue.

In fact, any race I try where I have existing bets in the market, if I pause the race and then add a CLOSEC into excel and start the race again, the whole thing crashes.

Unfortunately I cannot get it to freeze at all. I have tried both triggers on Zimmerman and CLOSEC. Can you Install version 1.3.1.0.q and send me a memory dump when it freezes. Do not close Betting Assistant until the dump file has been uploaded.

I have made it as easy as possible to upload the memory dump:-

1) Locate C:\Program Files (x86)\Betting Assistant in File Explorer.

2) Right click on the file crashdump.bat and choose Run as Administrator.

3) Please confirm the date and time you uploaded the file so I can locate it on our server.

Thanks for the upload. I can now see exactly where it's stuck. Just need to figure out why. I'll get back to you ASAP.

If you are logging MyBets and have the full stream option ticked then it freezes. Full stream is ignored currently (except it's causing this bug). The prices for historical data are updated every second whether the prices have changed or not. It is highly unlikely there would be no changes from second to second in play, this option is more relevant hours from the start time. If you are only betting close to the off I suggest you don't use full stream. In the meantime I will fix it to support full stream. I want to emphasise that by not using full stream you are not missing any price updates.

I seem to have lost access to historical data?

Has the service gone live? Where do I subscribe?

It will be subscription only from Monday 6th June. In the meantime I have made it free to all again until then.

Data is now available going back to January 2018. The plan was to go back 5 years, but having some technical difficulties with the 2017 data. If I cannot use the 2017 data then in 6 months time there will be 5 years of data anyway.

Does anyone know where I can find my Gruss Id? I thought it was my user name. Also if paying by paypal do I first need to cancel my £6 subscription first?

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
