Is there historical charts available for sports yet? If so, how do I access / create them?

Sorry, only horse racing. There hasn't been much interest in the charts so we used the server space for more Market Replay markets. Which sports would you like charts for?

Might be a daft question but what does this option actually do?

Use Market Refresh Rate (rounded to the nearest second)

Only ask I've I have the option selected and have been getting different results from the same race on horse racing markets if I have a refresh rate of 2 seconds and a replay speed of x32. I guess that the two are not compatible?

The two options are compatible. You have replicated using a 2 second refresh on a live market. You will get different results from 1 second because you are only getting the prices every two seconds instead of one therefore some prices will be missed producing different results. I provided this option for users whose live systems might be based on less frequent refreshes. You should not get different results if you repeat the play through using 2 seconds though only if you compare a play through at 1 second to 2 seconds.

Just tested this and am not getting the same results. I was not aware of this. I will make sure it is fixed in next release due shortly. Only 1 second can be relied on to produce the same results.

Minor error but;

18/09/2022 13:50 Hamilton was a dead heat but my selection was paid 100%. Shouldn't that of been 50%

Hi There,

I've been making good use of the historical races on Gruss, there is one annoyance that I've been putting up with but thought I'd mention it to see if it can be resolved.

Its caused by resizing the screen I guess, if you look at the first picture the Pause, Stop and Speed buttons on the right hand side are all fine, however as soon as I change market they disappear as in the second picture.

Then I have to pull the screen back over to the left, flip it from ladder to grid and back again and then its fine until I switch markets again.

The reason I have my screen like this is because I use the popup ladder and I like that right hand side to still be showing if that makes sense.

I hope that makes sense?

Yes I can see what's happened. It's not resizing the timeline control accordingly. I will ensure it is fixed in the next release due shortly.

Is There A Way To Make Bet Ref Increase Each Race ?

Example ;
1000005 2. Paiges Diamond B
1000004 5. Ginger Bonus B
1000003 3. Lady Susan B
1000002 4. Master Jackal B
1000001 3. Lindenow Lass B
1000000 7. In Transit B

Then Next Race Add 1000

1001004 6. Reoffender
1001003 5. Dr Brooklynn
1001002 4. King Pop
1001001 1. Queen Kathleen
1001000 3. Unique Mundine

Would Make It Easier To Break Up Result Per Race.

Not currently, but a nice idea. I'll see what I can do.

Using a LAYSP trigger seems to be calculating liability as Stake*SP odds than using the amount in the stake column as the max liability i.e the way it works when live.

Thanks, it is still not working quite right. When you entre the LAYSP bet it takes the exposure as the stake times the max odds. So a LAYSP odds of 20 with Liability of 100 shows an exposure of £2000 rather than the £100. Corrects once the BSP is struck.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
