Betfair Announcement Re Correct Score Soccer Markets

Postby MarkRussell » Fri Aug 26, 2011 10:39 am

Betfair have made the following announcement:-

We’re pleased to announce that as from today (Friday August 26th), all football Correct Score bets marked as ‘keep bets’ will remain active when the match is turned in-play, and will also stay active through any further suspensions.

A number of customers have asked for this addition to our football offering, and we are happy to now be able to accommodate those requests.

This option for correct score markets is not currently supported by Betting Assistant. We will release an update shortly.

Can bets be set to be kept on even if sent by one click? I've never used keep bets so I don't know if I would need to click keep in my bets before sending or if I could tick it after the bet is offerred while keeping my place in the queue?

I acknowledge that it's not do-able with BA yet.

Even though the option isn't available under betting options at the moment you can still amend any bets to keep in play by clicking the IP box against the bet in Bet manager at the bottom of the screen.

As far as I'm aware you only lose your position in the queue when a new bet reference is created , this isn't the case with changing keep options so you should still retain your position in the queue despite amending keep options.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
