The metrics can also be exported to Excel by selecting TPD under additional columns. You can use the triggers TPD-ON and TPD-OFF in cell Q2 to connect to the stream.

can you create an option to set this as default?
If option is ticked then if TPD market found export the data to excel
and (stop exporting if I place the TPD-OFF to Q2, restart exporting if I place TPD-ON)

if TPD is already ticked in additional columns (under log current prices but mainly when "log multiple sheets quick link")

I'll consider it. I am wary of connecting automatically to TPD data as each new market uses up your quota.

ok, it's just a couple of lines coding for the TPD-ON
What will happen if TPD-ON and TPD-OFF is placed on a market without TPD data?

what if there are two markets with TPD data at the same time,
will TPD-OFF take you out from just the market of does it takes you out from your TPD account?

The triggers are ignored.

It unsubscribes from that specific market. If after unsubscribing no other markets remain then the connection is dropped. The TPD stream has a nice feature where you can subscribe/unsubscribe to another market while the stream is open. I wish Betfair would do that with their stream.

It means you tried to connect to a market that was already closed or not available. Which market was it?

I tried to link to excel tab 1 with Southwell's WIN markets
and tab 2 with Southwell's PLACE markets

both tabs had auto load market 1 min to off
both excel sheets were sending the "TPD-ON" at the same time
(obviously with some milimiliseconds diff)

Starting from the second race of the day,
TPD data was recorded/backup in only 1 race from 6 (5th in row - 16.35) for win market
and the opposite for the place market - 5 recorded except the 5th in row
So probably something with the same data at the same time in two tabs - sent to excel

I wasn't in front of pc at all
I show the message when races had ended , there were 5-6 pop-ups with the same message.

Sounds like you've found a bug. I don't think I've accounted for this scenario. I will fix it.

Not so important but not all horses blue speed with speed was visible at the left of the grid before the race start
As time passed more boxes appeared
Note that the whole line is empty not showing the furlongs vertical lines at the background
Data in excel was exported correctly
After the start of race all blue boxes (with distance now) were visible

I can see in your screenshot that there are also no furlong lines which tells me there was no data available for those horses at all which is why their speed was not displayed. I can say this was a TPD issue. Usually this is more noticeable several minutes before the start of the race as the horses have not been made active yet. Occasionally it will be just before the race.

version 1.3.1.2i
Newcastle win and place markets in pairs opened by BA 20.1min before Off with auto select market
Data is sent to excel (two separate sheets)
TPD-ON is send separately to win and place market at 0secs from Excel, TPD-OFF is also send at the actual race end

I watched the markets while BA was already running, 8mins before off, markets were loaded/running
win market is ok, no TPD data yet (grid and excel)
place market has TPD data left from previous market (grid), also sent to excel
Also something goes wrong with the TPD data for the 4th horse that is sent to excel - place market ,
no data in the grid for 4th horse but some data sent to excel ( some zeros/ small speed?)( but data is from previous race)
0secs - TPD-ON is sent
win market - grid, TPD area is blacked / excel is ok
place market is ok - grid and excel
TPD-OFF is sent
win market - black area is still there

I've seen this TPD black area before in another version, corrected after I pressed TPB button at grid (once or twice?)

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
