S.P In-Play

Postby U.F.O » Thu Jul 23, 2009 6:03 pm

Just wanted to post this as a warning to other users that use this feature after i lost a few quid today on the 2:20 after B.F failed to turn in-play.

I was trading right up to the off and had a 500-00 back bet already matched and a 500-00 lay bet unmatched a few ticks below the current price, i had set the lay to be taken at S.P if it was not matched before it was tuned in-Play as i do often.

Unfortunately the original bet was matched just after the race had started and then Betfair of cause did not turn it in Play so all bets after the off were voided, wich is fine imo but because it was matched by someone else and then voided i did not get my S.P bet Placed. I was not happy

What is the trigger for this i.e. to 'back then lay two ticks lower but if unmatched when going in play then lay at SP'?

BACK-T2-SPC

Please be aware though that the liability of the unmatched lay bet must be at least £10.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
