Does anybody know where I can find times for different courses- EG how long should I expect a 2m Hurdle race at Cartmel to take?
Basicly the aim of this is to make an approximate race countdown timer.

I've got standard times for the flat, but does this exist for National Hunt races? Also, does anyone know how much to adjust for going, EG for soft ground should I be adding 5%? 10%?

I'm not expecting precision here but I'd like my bots to know more or less how far into the race we are.

Any help?

I've found the standard times now, so the only question left is how much to adjust for the going- Anyone know?

The standard times are available from the link above but you've got to put them all into some sort of useable form. I couldn't be bothered in the end so I just found generic standard times that were used in discombolator (easily found via google). As it turned out they were good enough for my puropses- although the bot I wanted them for turned out to be a bit of a dud so I've ditched that project for the time being.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
