well-balanced stoploss

Postby thomasz1 » Sun Oct 11, 2009 10:05 pm

hello,first,sorry for my english(i'm belgian),

It has been a long time since I look how balanced my stop loss, but I find anything.
I've so tested with betting assistant.
3back 3 for 2euros must be placed in approximately say, that was supposed to be well for 2 of them, but the 3rd was backé in 387 for 17 euro!!!

I had already tried before with lay-test of 1euro, and my stoploss has matché 30euros approximately in 1000!

I imagine that the problem arises when the stoploss is unmatched, or then surement rather that I did not understand, and I thus hope that you can explain me the functioning of the stoploss with the automobile level.

Thank you in advance

It looks like you may be a victim of the stop loss bug that is in version 1.1.0.62. I put a warning on the opening page each time you start Betting Assistant, maybe you didn't notice it.

Can you upgrade to the Beta version where the problem is fixed and let me know if you have the same problem.

See http://gruss-software.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3922 for download link.

Thank you indeed, I had seen the news, but I had believed to see that it was an old news for a ancient version, but I had to make a mistake.
I am going to test the new version, if there is a problem I inform you.

Thank you for the speed of the answer;)

Saddened for the flood, but I believed to read that with the inplay that did not work, the problem would come from there?

I program the stoploss offplay so that it is matched inplay if it goes wrong,
I can make that?

The problem is more likely to occur in play, but can also happen before the market turns in play so I still recommend you use the Beta version and let me know if the problem still occurs.

I have another important question concerning the stoploss. If the stoploss is not matched how I may ask him to match a worse quotation than that planned?

Eg: I lay 10€ @500 and I want a stoploss @100, the problem is that he could very well pass from 120 to 60 for example, and in that case I shall meet myself with a very big loss! I would thus like to know how I could ask the program to set in 60 if it is unmatched in 100?
The purpose would thus be to give a minimal / maximal quotation to where the stoploss should match all that he can.
If it is impossible, is this option planned for a future version?

Thank you in advance.

re, I have another idea if the other does not fit,
to replace the Stoploss could simply add the "auto level" for conditional bets like that, eg. we say "game € 10 between 2 and 1.6" with "maximum liability" pleasurable to mull it at 10 € it only remained to enable the auto level for that loss is the smallest possible

now sorry to bother you but I find it essential to achieve at least 1 of the 2 ideas I have proposed (if not personally I'm completely blocked from using the strategies in play)
Regards, thomas.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
