Stoploss Still Going In-Play

Postby Stu77 » Mon Nov 30, 2009 5:19 pm

Hi Gary.

On two races today i've had my stoploss matched in-running when i haven't ticked the Keep In-play tick box. On one race i had actually traded out of the bet pre-race but the stoploss was still matched in-play.

I've downloaded the new betting assistant software to avail of the new feature where my stoploss doesn't go in-play but for some reason i've been matched in-running. Is it something i'm doing wrong. I always leave the keep in-play box unticked. Thanks, Stu.

It's not the keep in play check box that determines if the stop loss is triggered in play. If you trade out then you should cancel the stop loss by clicking on the "Cancel stop loss" button in the stop loss options tab or click the "Cancel all bets" button. The cancel stop loss button will change from red to grey to indicate the stop loss is no longer active.

If you have downloaded the latest version then you should be ticking "Cancel at in play" in the stop loss options tab to prevent it being triggered in play.

Hi Gary.

I can't seem to find the button for "Cancel at in Play"

The betting assistant version i downloaded is ver.1.1.0.63w. Is this the correct version for cancelling the stoploss before the race goes in-play. Thanks.

You need 1.1.0.64. See http://gruss-software.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3922 for download link. You will need to uninstall your current version using the windows control panel.

Yes. You can use stop loss combined with tick offset. The offset bet will be cancelled when the stop loss fires.

Hi Gary

What I meant was the offset requests tab not the tick offset tab, does that work on a stop loss when it is fired?

Sorry, I understand now. It doesn't apply to the stop loss bet, only the initial bet placed by clicking on the prices grid.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
