Isn't there a danger that by having a refresh rate faster than your reaction time, you will nearly always be submitting bets at a different price than what you thought ?

Some of us are so slow things have moved in our favour by the time we react

when you place a bet the response time reported in the black bar at the bottom of BA shows more than 500ms?

It's always above 350 for me here in Greece.

I have just tried rates on laptop (Gateway Intel 2 core, 2gig ram, XP Pro),
and netbook, (Samsung NC10 1.6ghz Atom - standard XP Home), same
settings as home PC above but both wireless.

Laptop was just a little slower - average around 120-130ms, pretty often
under 100ms and occasionally over 200ms but less than 300ms.

Netbook is disappointing in general, runs slower than expected on ALL
programs and stuff. Speed definitely slower at average of about 175-180ms
but as slow as 500ms at times. Still useable for me but not really very good.

P.S. Would anyone know if Windows 7 would perform better for me on these?

I will check my response times today but I can tell you 2020vision that I have Windows 7 on my netbook and it has not made no difference. However, it is Windows 7 starter/basic and I cannot even change my background on it. Not sure why, but that option, the most common of them all, is not in this version of Windows 7. This netbook was bought at PCWorld.

Thanks for that - I shall not waste my time trying to upgrade the Netbook.
Laptop I am sure would be fine if I needed Windows 7.

Bought my Netbook from Comet too - wish I hadn't bothered to be honest.
