The Place_Bets.xls example wasn't designed for in play betting. Look at "Using Excel" in the user guide available from the help menu if you have not already done so and then try entering triggers manually with smalls stakes to get a feel for how it works.

Also your query is too vague. Can you explain exactly what you are trying to achieve?

For example place a back on éverton when his back is 1.20 during the match. In selection I puts everton; stake=2; bet type = BACK; min odds = 1.01; odds max = 1.20. I have to change the formula =if (AND (AK5 < =AL5; E2 = "Not In Play"; F2 < > "Suspended");; "N") by =if (AND (AK5 < =AL5; OR (E2 = "Not In Play"; E2 = " in play "); F2 < > "Suspended");; "N") it does not work

It looks like you haven't used upper case where necessary. It is case sensitive.

"everton" will not work you need to specify "Everton" so that it matches Betfair exactly.

Your formula should also have correct case. You have specified "in play", this is not the correct case. It should read as follows.
Code: Select all
=if (AND (AK5<=AL5; OR (E2 = "Not In Play"; E2 = "In Play"); F2 <> "Suspended");"Y"; "N")

Unfortunately we cannot offer the service of creating your spreadsheets for you, but we can create an example. Please provide a detailed explanation of what you want to see in this example.

yes, for example if i wanted to back a horse a few seconds after the race started, how could i do ? and if i backed one horse off play, and i wanted to lay it in play ?
triggered betting can be a great solution to me... and so please, i need your help to succeed in placing my bets

I also need a bit of help placing bets as the market goes in-play....so even a small example would be most appreciative.

Cell E2 indicates whether the market is in play and F2 indicates if it is suspended. You need to place the bet when the market is in play and not suspended so for example you can put the following formula in the trigger column. If your refresh rate is 1 second then this formula will be evaluated every second so the bet will be triggered within 1 second of the market going in play.

Code: Select all
=if(and($e$2="In Play",$f$2<>"Suspended"),"BACK","")

See http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/forum/v ... php?t=2404 for an example of some VBA code which will update a cell with time in seconds since the market turned in play. You can refer to this cell in your formula to trigger the bet any number of seconds after the market turns in play.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
