Staking plan: Adding new functions to excel

Postby ovadij » Tue Jun 15, 2010 8:24 pm

I have quite common excel for trigger betting and now would like to be able to increase the stakes. As an example: we set a lay at 1.5 and in case if we lose twice we double the stake etc. Or, we lay at 1.01 and after we lose 80 times in a row we icrease the stake by 50%.

So I guess I need to tell the program how many times I`d like to keep the same stake before increasing it. Is it even possible in excel?

Staking plans will kill you faster in the end unless you have a positive expectation.

I have positive expectations and am willing to try.

'You' having 'positive expectations' is a different thing to your system having a positive expectation LOL but, hey, give it a go and see what happens. Look at The Staking Machine if you're into staking plans. Its a great piece of kit and could help.

Thank you, Doris. I looked at the Staking Machine and from what I read, people were complaining that it crashes quite often. That is the reason why I would prefer to avoid it.

Hi Doris,

Just had to say that from research I have done in the past, you can expect at the very least 1 loser at 1.01 out of every 100 back bets. Meaning it could be worth it in the long run to take the lay bet - I certainly think Ovadij has a good chance of success.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
