It's nearly the end of year so lets see how people have performed in the minefield of gambling. I'm quite pleased with myself this year, normally i lose between one and two thousand. :x

Its been a very poor year for me as some of the markets I play in have become more efficient and volatility has risen due to a fall in liquidity.

My profit was in the region of £26K, down from over £50K in 2009 and £85K in 2008....the writing is on the wall and I'm now investigating some other ideas and in some other fields too. I have dabbled with FX news trading before and 2011 will see me take a more serious interest in it.....

Have a great Christmas all and a prosperous New Year.....

Although I made less than Dorian, still I did OK mainly trading horses in play using excel automated scripts. Last 30 days I made very little due to meeting abandonments, and jump season is the time where I make the most of my annual profit. Same thing happened last year, from mid December to mid January there were hardly any NH races, and even 2-3 weeks after that I was struggling in running, as it seems big IR players stayed clear until everything was back to normal.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
