Unfortunately only made £45 the rest of the day, as I certainly wasn't going to put anymore money through in case BF went down again.

Overall, the lost is pretty insignifcant £184 or so in the grand scheme of things. In fact, with other stuff this week I should still end up with a small profit.

They really should void bets on markets where you can't access them. It's just not cricket !! - in fact it is pretty immoral really. I don't mind foregoing any profits in situations like this - in fact the 2nd horse which only lost by a neck would have won me £100. I would have willingly given this up, had the situation been different.

Anybody had any really big losses - just to make me feel not so bad about it all !!

Hi KESIMKESIM :)

you have my sympathy and understanding...

When I protested about the Premium Charge on top of everything else
the guy (supposed manager) basically told me if I don't like it then clear off
elsewhere! When I gave him counter arguments to everything he tried to justify
he actually became quite angry - at which point I politely found a way to end
the phone call - I felt he was on the virge of actually banning me?
You would hardly believe some of the crappy excuses he came out with?

Also regarding your unfortunate loss I have on a few occasions had unavoidable
losses of £30ish to £80ish pounds but I know for sure the MOST that a
sudden Betfair interface crash ONCE cost me well over £300 - can't remember
exactly but it was about £320? Since then, about 18 months ago I have been
much more careful.

This won't get your money back but it may at least help you feel better?

Ttfn - Have a good day - Michael

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
