Heading Changes On Excel Selections Sheet

Postby raldridge » Wed Feb 16, 2011 8:08 am

As being new to the Gruss BA, I am puzzled why the headings on sheet 2
the selections Excel sheet seem to keep changing?.
First they were: horse name > stake > bet type > min odds > and max odds

Now they are:
bet ref > horse name >bet type >amount > average odds > result

I prefer the first one above.

Can anyone explain this as I filled in the cells for the selections as per the
first one above?. Do I have to fill in the cells again, as when I had them filled the first way there were some current odds in some columns on the market sheet for the selected horse?.

But when I filled in the cells to the new headings these odds in some of the
columns on the market sheet were not there anymore?.

Sounds to me like you have selected "Log bet results" and chose the selections worksheet when linking to Excel. This has resulted in the selections sheet being overwritten with the bet results. If you did actually want to log bet results then you should choose a spare worksheet for the results.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
