Postby SJM1 » Sun Mar 13, 2011 8:54 pm

Hello guys - Im looking for some information on where the nearest exchange shop is to me here in Berkshire,
Previously ive travelled into London and used the facilities at Elitebet, is this still open?
Also talk of rooms in birimingham and Lymington??

Any information at all is really appreciated,

My brother very recently visited Elitebet when he was down in London. He said the place was closed. Shutters down and notices up they were not taking bets.

There is a place on Canary Wharf, Google sports exchange Canary Wharf. I emailed these people asking for the price. I got nothing back. I have heard it is £70/day which is the most expensive I have come across.

I was given the mobile number of someone to do with the exchange in Aston Birmingham. Gary gave me it so not certain if I can pass it on.

There was a place in Lymington. You try their website and it is gone. Have not tried harder on these people.

Found a place in Doncaster but I guess that would be too far and there is of course Lovell's in Cardiff. James Lovell told me there is another in Cardiff but that one wasn't doing as well. Don't know their name.

I would have thought these places would have done better with their faster pictures but for whatever reasons this hasn't happened. All I can say about is the Cardiff shop was busy.

This is interesting. My brother went there 2-3 weeks ago. The shutters were down - no big deal they might be closed for the day but there were notices up they were no longer taking bets.

Any idea why he should have found this?

It's not a normal betting shop any more hence the shutters being down to the gen public. 100% open during racing hours for the exchange shop.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
