newbie help

Postby javiercubre » Mon Jul 25, 2011 10:31 pm

Hi all,

I'm a newbie to this wonderful software and i'm having some trouble get the conditional bet option right....

What I want to do is, say, back a selection @1.03...and, by activating +1 tick offset, put an order for a 1.02 lay in the same selection...

I was trying around in some soccer matches, but all the software did was puting the back order.

How can i manage to get the software to put the lay order @X-1 after the back order?

Thank you all,
javiercubre

The conditional betting feature does not place offset bets. The tick offset column applies to the back bet. If the odds are triggered at 1.03 for example and the tick offset column contains +5 then the back bet will be placed at 1.08.

You can only do what you require using Excel and the appropriate trigger to place the offset lay bet.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
