Would you be happy to pay for an upgraded Betdaq assistant.

I would be more than happy to pay, if the present one had a few tweaks.
I've already spoke to Betdaq about improving there markets, they were
keen to listen, and are planning a new advertising campaign.

Yes happy to pay. Betdaq market is only going to grow, imo.

Personally I think there are many people prepared to pay, even as it stands now.
So, some people go, what the hell ? Who cares ? Its their loss. I think the Russells are far too timid with their pricing. They have a great piece of kit that does what it should and does it well. They are great when it comes to adding stuff after feedback and they are prompt when a user has problems. Yet they seem timid in the extreme when it comes to pricing. There are other bits of kit out there charging more than three times what we pay, so why the timidity ? Just do the maths - you increase the price by 50% or charge for BABetdaq and a few people leave, so what ? Be bold guys as I doubt the market is quite as sensitive as you think it is.
You need to value what you're offering a little more highly - your customers do.

I'd agree doris, Gruss have always undervalued their product and should have charged more than double from the outset. At £6 per month the programs a steal when you compare the cust service side and features to other products out there.

Sure you'd lose a few customers if the price increased but I doubt it'd be anywhere near as many as you'd think and once they have to look elsewhere most would probably return anyways.

Betdaq is the probably future of a true Betting Exchange (given Betfair have made their views know....they have no respect for their customers now that they have angry shareholders to deal with), paying for a tool as good as Betting Assistant for the Betdaq exchange seems a total no brainer for punters.

I think Gruss should view this as an opportunity not the reverse, you have a great product and now you have demand from a new exchange. Get working!!! :D

I have just left Betfair (After yesterdays outage!), their customer service is awful. I have registered with Betdaq today and downloaded the Betdaq Assistant. I have been paying for the Betfair assistant for a long time now and really wouldnt mind paying for the Betdaq assistant too. Although i would like to see some improvements in the Betdaq assistant to bring it up to the standard of the Betfair assistant. I think that Betfair's customer base is just going to keep declining and Betdaq's customer numbers are going to rise a lot. This in mind, maybe Gruss should concentrate on the Betdaq assistant. The service from Gruss is second to none, and i am sure that nobody would leave just because of a small price increase. You have to pay for quality.

Betdaq Assistant (the Adobe AIR application) is not where future development will occur. You may not be aware but it has been mentioned on this forum a few times that we have a version that is virtually the same as the Betfair version so that it can cater for Excel users. It can be downloaded from the following link. This is what we will develop in the future.

Payments

Postby excelhasey » Tue Aug 09, 2011 6:50 pm

I would be happy to pay for anything as long as someone tells me how to use it for a profit, spent last summer driving myself to insanity to find the missing piece of the jigsaw, to no avail - They have now taken me of the medication and hence I am intending to come back - Any advise ???

If the silks don't appear for a race does that mean they will not appear all day or if loading a race again the colours might appear?

Like today the first Hamilton race that loads silks is the 4:30pm. If I keep loading any race before that could the colours ever appear

Yes it tries each time you open the market. Try it again now.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
