Betdick down

Postby doris_day » Wed Aug 24, 2011 4:32 pm

I haven't been using Betduck recently so don't know how its been performing. However, I've started again today and it seems to have been up and down like a tarts knickers. How's it been performing in the recent past, stability-wise ?

As far as I know it's usually quite stable.

I gave them a ring to chat about it and they told me that its the first day with technical issues for quite a few months, so that's reassuring.

Sorry, N Counter, I've got into an awful habit of calling Betdork anything but their correct name :)

That's ok, I hate to think I might be missing out on something that might help me sharpen my edge.

I phoned betdaq yesterday after noticing that the amount matched on a soccer corect score market out stripped betfair by a significant amount. I wanted to check if they were counting in the proceeds from their new one bet. She assured me that it wasn't counted and that it was because of the premium charge. I took her at her word but couldn't help noticing that even though the matched total was higher the amounts offerred were well lower, especially in play. I also found that the amount matched on the matched odds was about a tenth of that on betfair.

I went back to betfair unconvinced, but I did like the idea of no premium tax and 2.5% commission.

Betduke calculate the amount matched in a different way to Betfair, so their figures are never comparable.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
