Postby RJM » Fri Jan 13, 2012 2:05 pm

It, just keeps going on!

Be interesting to see if they void the first two races.

It's good to see the maintenance from the 10th worked out as planned then!

...not yet. I thought the whole point of the platform upgrade on Monday was so this never happens again.

I know system problems do happen, but its getting worse - not better!

This is clearly unscheduled and they will be working to get the site up asap. It must be costing them.

Would be nice if they gave us an indication of how long it might be.

When did the site go down?

To be fair - in the long view it IS getting better. Crashes are far less frequent now than they used to be - although obviously this is a big one.

You also don't see nearly as many problems with old prices and just random stuff as you used to. Betfair have made quite a bit of progress on this.

According to Betfair my account is "nil" at the moment - which, is wrong!

Can't even withdraw anything at present.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
