Problems in Spain

Postby six gun » Sun Jan 29, 2012 6:51 pm

Are there issues with Gruss in Spain?

My brother has used Gruss in Spain in the past with no problems.
Today I have tried to use it and I get this:

The panel with the prices is blank.
I have the latest version of Gruss installed on W7 machine.[/img]

I seem to have found the grid inside the ladder
How do I get this back to where it should be?

It looks like the settings file may be getting corrupted when importing from the previous version.

1. Select "Open settings folder" from options menu.

2. Close Betting Assistant.

3. Delete the file name user.config from the folder opened in step 1.

4. Use the following utility to delete the settings file from the older BA version.
http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/Betting ... ttings.exe

5. Re-start BA.

When I opened the folder through the settings folder I discovered two XML files one of 55kb and the other 64.4kb

I deleted both.
Following your instructions BA is displaying the markets ok now.

I have read on the Betfair forum that the law in Spain with respect to using BF has changed.
They were talking about taking effect during 2012.

Using a betting exchange has not been included in a recent act, which means it is illegal.

I thought perhaps Gruss would not work in Spain any more.

When I arrived at the BF site initially it was the Spanish version but when logged in, it went to the English version and is no different to using it in the UK as far I can see.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
