Back-Sp. Can I specifiy minimum and maximum odds?

Postby Ian1506 » Thu Mar 29, 2012 5:47 am

Hi folks.

I am using this trigger. BACK-PL50-SP. Is there a way that I can set the minimum SP price I would accept as well as a maximum. What I would like to do is place this bet if the SP (when the market goes InPlay) is between 12-22.

Cheers Ian

Sorry folks. I've just realised that I have put this in the wrong forum. I'll try again in help.

Hi Ian,

With that trigger you are aking for an unmatched bet to be converted to SP odds at the off.
You can't specify max or min odds using that trigger.

If you were to use BACKSP-PL50 then you can specify the min odds as this is what you put in the odds trigger column using this trigger.

The other way to do it would be set the spreadsheet up so that the bet is only submitted at the off once is SP is known, i.e. you would use BACK-PL50 only if the SP odds are in your range.

Regards,
Mark

Hi Mark,

I didn't see the BACKSP trigger listed in the help file - any chance the triggers there could be updated?

Thanks

Hi,

It's in the help file under Version History / Version 65 Changes / Excel Changes
I do apologise as I realise it's not ideal and we are working on new guide to pull all the information together into the relevant sections.

I take it you are going for a "DOB"... :) ...try something like this:

Go to Options-Preferences-General..make sure you have "Calculate tick % on decimal odds"ticked then on opening excel make sure you have SP ticked and then in Q5:

=IF(AND(E$2="In Play",F$2<>"Suspended"),IF(AND(Y5>=12,Y5<=22),"BACK-PL50"," ")," ")

R5 your minimum odds etc.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
