Clock settings on Windows 7

Postby paulminor » Thu Jul 12, 2012 5:51 pm

I have windows 7 and my computer clock is set to (UTC) Dublin, Edinburgh, Lisbon, London, which shows up as the correct time on my pc, however whenever I load Gruss all race times are 1 hour behind this, any suggestions to synchronize Gruss to my pc welcome, thanks.

Hi paulminor :)

Welcome to the forum.

Have you checked your timezone within your Betfair account itself?
Try logging into Betfair with your browser then click "My Profile".

Near the bottom on the left hand side you should have a link that says
"Edit timezone". Click this & ensure you are set to "UK Time UKT (GMT +1.00)"

Hope this does the trick for you? All the best - Michael

Let's try this then...

Go into your clock/date/time settings and click "Timezone" and then check that
"automatically adjust clock for Daylight Saving Time" checkbox has a tick in it?

If this does not fix it for you then I am stumped - sorry?

All the best - Michael

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
