can't bet

The software will let me lay but not bet.Has anyone got any suggestions

So what happens when you try to do a back bet?
Is there a message?
What is shown in the black bar at the bottom of the application screen?

Hi Mark,
When I try to back nothing appears on the bar below,it does though when I lay, and I have just discovered that the Lay section acknowledges a lay bet has been matched but doesn't take anything out of my account(or put anything in)
Am I doing something wrong.

Do you have "Verify bets" ticked in Betting Options?

Ok, with "Verify Bets" ticked as it suggests you have to confirm the bets before they are placed.
This is done either from a pop-up confirmation window or via "My Bets" on the left-hand side of the grid depending on how you have Betting Assistant set up.
If you are using "My Bets" then you need to click on the submit button in "My Bets" to place the bets.
If you are not using "My Bets" then a pop-up window should appear.
If the pop-up window doesn't appear then try selecting "Reset Place Bet Popup Position" from the Options Menu.
