If they are, then it's not a very good advert for the provider, especially the latest trend where the feed often goes down (sabotage ?) two furlongs from the winning post.On the other hand if they don't use cobain, why are they still using this pathetic 2nd rate provider.

hi

betfair subscribe to perform feeds,
perform ltd bought out cobain,.....

offer two packages, one for bookmakers(watch and bet), and one for traders (watch and trade) see this link
http://www.performgroup.co.uk/WhiteLabelChannels

the runningball product is the feed for the other sports, volleyball etc

very wierd that the traders (watch and trade) works fine, but the bookmakers one plays up ondaily basis!! dodgy

hope that helps

I'd also be interested in joining a syndicate.

Racing Feeds

I would also be interested in joining a Racing feed syndicate-if anyone has ideas in going forward with this.

Not that cheap at £300 per month plus initial outlay of £300 for box plus outlay for satellite dish and installation. Sure it is full SIS and TurfTV but pricey all the same and with occasional picture freezes due to encrytption code sub second glitches

They are also doing an alternative option now by streaming it over the web with no dish required but it defeats the object if your looking for fast pics as the stream introduces a 2.5 second latency.

Try talking to a local independent bookie. Many of them will be happy to accommodate you in a back room. I did this a few years ago and paid my local bookie twenty quid a day. They put internet access in for me specially. Although this works out at six hundred a month if you go every day, you have no obligation to and, because they were local to me, there were no travel costs like you have if you go to one of the exchange shops. In any case the majority of people go for just a few days until they realise this route isnt the pot of gold that they imagined. It may have been once but it aint anymore.

The only way you will win on sis pictures is by playing well over 2 f out or laying big prices to nick a living..youcannot possibly beat people 30-40yds ahead..

That's true. There is a guy near Tamworth using SIS still 'nicking a living' in most races. You'll see his prices popping up in most races laying at 190. He used to lay £40 a time (dont know if he does these days) and did quite well a few years ago.

There was another guy who would lay at 2.04 for a few thousand when a horse fell and then he's also back at 1.30 when they were deat cert winners. He's stopped using that method - probably a track player these days. A good friend who made £50,000 a week from his feeds and SIS has been blown away completely. Shame.

This all goes to show that if you find an edge, for god's sake make the most of it while you can because in this game nothing stays the same for long

I have locked this topic. I have received complaints. It's getting too controversial.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
