BA not connecting to Betfair.

Postby blueriver » Fri Apr 19, 2013 11:15 am

I confirm, Betting Assistant is unable to connect to Betfair (it show an Error Message: with many rows, starting with "System.Net.WebException........Impossible to connect to remote server........."
But from the same computer I can regularly log-in to my Betfair account without problem.

Dear Mark,

1) I tried to connect from 2 different PCs
2) Line DSL is OK
3) Access to Betfair via Browser is ok

it could be that you have inadvertently deleted my account on your server?

if it can help,
I've checked with version (1.1.0.66x84) from desktop PC and the result is a big grey screen with many rows of error messages (as described above); than I've checked with version (1.1.0.66x85) from the notebook and the result is "Login Failed. Check your Internet Connection." (as described by Gvigliani).

I have no problem to connect to Betfair via browser (all using the same router and Internet Connection).

kind regards

made another check with a different Betting Bot (software) and no problem at all, so the problems are only on the Betting Assistant side.

We haven't deleted any accounts. Can you uninstall and re-install from the following link.

http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/Betting ... _Beta2.msi

After trying to login please send us the diagnostic file. It is named BA_Diagnostic.txt and is located in "C:\temp\Betting Assistant Logs"
Please email it to admin@gruss-software.co.uk

Sorry we would have needed to see the diagnostic log as per my previous message, but if it is not happening now we cannot know.

Ok Gary,
now of course the file is not reporting any error, should the problem occur again I'll follow your advice sending immediately the BA_Diagnostic.txt file.
Thank you

Hi Blueriver, just to check up on this, were you able to finally fix this yet?
Nothing is coincidence. Image

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
