Bets less than £2

Postby andak fedal » Fri Oct 18, 2013 6:03 pm

I've done a quick search on here and it seems that bets less than £2 still get fired (all 3) in the same transaction, so there will be no added delay in them hitting the market... is that right?

I thought you had to update an original bet to get round the minimum bet however so not sure how this works? But yet stakes for less than the minimum regularly get to the front of the queue so perhaps they do still get processed together.

Is anyone able to confirm for me please?

no , it's 3 seperate bets .

if there is a in running delay in placing bets like in football, 7 seconds i think , it will take 21 seconds to place a bet under £2 .

i think

That's what I thought and does seem to be what I'm seeing I think.

It was this thread that made me think that they would all be in the same transaction but I don't see how it's possible:

Anyone else know for sure?

No, you have misunderstood the other thread.

Gary explains there that people with low balances might have problems if
too many below £2 bets are triggered at the same time. So you can make
the software trigger only one below £2 bet in each refresh cycle.

But this 1 bet still needs 3 transactions and so you have to wait 3 in running
delays. This can't be changed because Betfair enforces it.

It took me a while to absorb this. Thanks for explaining this.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
