Cricket pictures in the UK

Postby fraz12 » Tue Oct 14, 2014 12:39 pm

Hi All,

I am a cricket trader in the UK and use the Sky platform. However over the last couple of years the live pictures have become more delayed (is this progress?) which is a problem for me as I now get a latency of between 7 and 10 seconds. Its manageable but restricts what I do and I get 'hoovered' every now and again which is frustrating.

I am also unable to watch many high profile cricket games which are not broadcast here in the UK (internet streams are poor quality and slow).

Someone in Australia told me their broadcaster (Fox Sports) has a latency of 3 seconds which is what Sky used to be.

Does anyone know if its possible to get Fox Sports in the UK or another suitable foreign broadcaster by satellite and what set up I would need to get them.

Any help greatly appreciated,

Fraz

I think this is coming from Betfair's side. At this point, I think there's nothing else that can be done here.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
