Getting All Runners Into Excel

Postby Robsmith » Sat Oct 04, 2014 4:13 pm

Hello

Is there a way of getting all a day's runners into Excel and triggering bets? I have been dragging and dropping individual races into one tab on BA but was wondering if there is a more efficient way?

Thank you

The standard way to do this is to load each meeting into its own BA tab, link each tab to its own Excel sheet, and run triggers against each sheet.

Can you please explain little more in detail , I only get the runners from one race at a time from each course
when I choose that option not all the runners at all courses at the same time.
Kind Regards !

Hi

I am a fairly primitive user of Gruss and Excel but one of the main things I use it for is getting prices of all runners each day at various times, plus the BSP after the off. The way I do it is fairly simple. I load up the Quick Pick list with all the races of the day (in my case this includes the place races). Actually this is done automatically based on the settings I have put into the prog's Options.

I then trigger the right-click option from the quick pick list to 'Open all markets in current tab'. This creates a single tab with a list of all the races and their runners.

I then simply hit the 'Log current prices' in the Excel menu to link it to a spreadsheet. After that I use formulas on the spreadsheet to sift out precisely what I want. Works very well.

HTH but just ask if you want any clarification. Or maybe someone else has a better way.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
