Help with automation

Postby Sjd101 » Thu Feb 05, 2015 8:12 pm

Hi Guys
My first post, be gentle!
I have just started using Gruss. I have watched the automation videos on the site and basic automation seems quite simple.

I have a system I want to automate but not sure where to begin as its a bit more complex than the videos.

The system is a lay system and involves identifying horses in certain races throughout the day. Some races have more than one horse to lay. I have these horses in a spreadsheet at the start of the day and would like to load these selections into Gruss.

Then I need Gruss to look at the price on Betfair of selected horses in the selected races
3 minutes before the off, then 1 minute before the off. Based on the price difference, run a simple formula to calculate the price change. Depending on the result Lay the horse or do nothing.

I hope I have made my request clear.

Nothing like starting simple. I had no intention of going down this route but I simply don't have the time to run it during the day with work commitments. If I could automate it that would be amazing.

Any help would be gratefully received.
Thanks in advance

Probably you should ask for a developer

viewforum.php?f=12

It is not to difficult what you ask, but it needs vba, If you don't have the time or the knowledge a developer is your answer

PM user Osknows. He's the best coder for anything Betfair that I've come across in 10 years and he'll quote you a really fair price.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
