autoload

Postby LillyP » Thu Oct 10, 2024 5:29 pm

Hello there. I have been tinkering away and have got a spreadsheet setup so it autoloads the markets for the next day at 00:00.
However Its not doing it sometimes and I wondered what i could do about it? What can i check ?
Its a spreadsheet I came across on here with the macros built in.

thanks

What market is loaded and are you streaming or auto refreshing at say a second at time? I think if the sheet isn't receiving any updates that they'd be nothing to trigger the macros, so if you're streaming a closed market nothing is being sent to the sheet to trigger a worksheet event

I have two instances of betting assistant to one workbook. Both BAs are streaming. Would the one macro instruction be enough to reload markets in both BA's?

I have my markets to set to load 1min before the off. Do I need to tinker with this?

If it's only one worksheet that should be fine, it's just that the worksheet needs data being sent to the sheet to trigger any worksheet event.

If the sheet isn't receiving data then no worksheet event would be triggered. With streaming once the market is closed I'd imagine no data is sent to the sheet so they'd be nothing updating the code to trigger a reload macro.

Might be worth turning off the streaming after your last market has finished and set refreshes to polling, say once every minute or so, that way the sheet would update every minute and even if closed it'd still be adjusting the date data on the sheet which is enough to trigger the refresh macro.

Can't remember the cell but the last market in your quick pick list sends an L to the that cell on the worksheet so easy enough to identify the last market and simply send a full stream off to Q2 once that market is over. Can then simply add code to the market reload code to turn streaming back on.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
