Hi guys. Could you provide a contact e-mail address for Cobain Ltd?

I have not been as 'lucky' as to get contacted by them for these supposedly free trials.

The feeds come from an Irish bookmaker. What we are looking for are established exchange shop players who are established FT. We are looking for £750 a month which is a discount on most exchange shops plus you save on travelling & food exes. Would you be interested on that basis?

Hi folks,

Above is the reply I got. No mention of a free trial and out of my price league as well.

Doris_Day did wonder about the legality...

Hey guys. Is it a trade secret or something so underground that nobody would share a contact e-mail for Cobain Ltd?

I think it would be better to give actual figures on in running betting and how these were arrived at.

The fast feeds come from SIS and Turf TV.

Turf is only available to bookies and the combined price of the two is around £16k a year.

RUK is a subscription channel. If BF had live feeds as fast as RUK it would kill RUK.

SIS is owned by the bookies.

I cannot see BF getting hold of internet feeds as fast. There is such a lot of money tied up in these feeds it would not make commercial sense for them to shell out.

What about football feeds? Are they generally more expensive?

And which companies provide feeds usually?

Somebody mentioned Cobain Ltd in this thread. At what prices do they make these feeds available?

doris,

Catching up with some old forum posts I came across your post quoted above and find it intriguing.

Would you happen to know if the "Russian Box" provides the SIS pictures as received by betting shops or if it provides the raw feeds that are a second or so ahead of the shop pictures?

The SIS system encryption system is PowerVu and as you say, is supposedly unhackable due to the unique addressing of each box, the "Russian" must be one clever guy. At a guess, they have cloned the circuitry that unscrambles the pictures from a working SIS box then somehow disabled the unique box addressing, very enterprising and very clever.

Have you any more details available that you could share by PM if you do not wish to place them on the forum. I could do with one of these "Russian Boxes" myself.

fast pics!! lol.... stay away...

if you want fast pics go to the bookies and use a mobile like me and my mate do when we cant get to the course. We have a little success but you can easy get caught if you dont know what you are doing.

If you are trying to play the fast pics game then the fastest pics are going to the track and doing your inrunning there... but be warned its not easy and very easily get burned. You are also up against the onsite trading rooms and the Racetech guys in the back of the van.

Me and a mate do the trackside inrunning betting and its took a while to get the hang of it...

A lot of people say its cheating and its not a level playing field but its not, all the inrunners have the same opportunity to go to the track as i do but prefer to mess about with ATR.. their choice..

if i was cheating i would have inside info on a certain horse and bet accordingly, but with inrunning i Get my info faster so decsions are made faster....

People are confused with betfair as they think its a betting site, its not.. its more like a Stock exchange... and the price moves on news... horse running well the prices moves, horse falls the price moves and so on.

** ITS NOT FIXED ODDS - ITS INRUNNING!! **

Just like when good news comes out on a share today the people who get the news first get the best price.. no use trying to get in on a company takeover thats happening today by buying the shares next week.. you have missed the boat.

The SIS Inrunners moan about the tracksiders, but the SIS Inrunners are getting their infor before the ATR guys!!! lol so double standards if you ask me....

So if you want the fastest pics, got a few grand to roll on one race and you have the minerals to do it you need to got to the track.

But beware... Photo finishes, Stewards inquireys etc can give you heart failure when you got a few K on a horse... Aslo take into account fuel to get there, entrance fee, food drink etc and you dont win on every race as soem are too close to bet.

As a final note i would definitely stay away from anyone offering fast pics especially via your internet connection.

Now if i could get raw racetech pics then thats a different story....

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&cp= ... CBgQ8gEwAA

here is a link to colbains address on google maps....

pull the little gold man over the address on the map and it will take you to the road and you can see the building with loads of sat dishes on it....

looks like its on some trading estate...

they are probably getting SIS and then farming feeds out to people via the web... ie sticking a webcam infront of a tv with SIS pics and then send them via the webs to people

**STAY AWAY FROM ANYONE OFFERING FAST PICS**

especially via the internet as your broadband wont be fast enough to handle the "video streaming" and "gruss refresh" for it to be an advantage..

never heard of cobain ltd and their site is amatuerish.

use them at yout peril...

think i have made my loyaltys clear

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
