anyone else?

Dear .....

Many thanks for contacting us in relation the error you were receiving from your API software.

Please note that this issue was on Gruss software side, and they have now implemented a software fix which should auto update the version you have installed.

Should you have any further queries, or if I can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.

The market place has changed, unfortunately many users don't consider £6 to be cheap anymore.

Wow, that's amazing

We did have a bug in our software that Betdaq brought to our attention so that isn't strange. I don't know why they emailed you if you hadn't experienced the error and reported it in the first place though. Maybe they just contacted all users. It's a requirement for developers to provide an application identifier in each API call so they can see which vendors' software is making the call which means they can easily identify all users of our software. Nothing to worry about in my opinion.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
