I'd also be careful if you're placing lots of those $0.09 bets, Betfair will be aware of your account and won't tolerate it for too long.

Well yes. Before, I played during the race but now stoped. In plat is about 15' before actual race start. I am placing bets from 3' to 0' before start. It takes about 3-4 seconds. For this strategy (dutching odds) 1 second more or less doesn't play some role. But you saw that stupid horse (Thomas or something)? It was dismissed at the start. My back button do nothing except filling the proper field with value "BACK".

I read about that small bets and betfair opinion about that... I think that I am finished with that now... that racing are crazy house :) I can imagin what amount I'd lost if played with normal values. Odds probability simple doesn't work. From 10 horses in the race, when u covered first 4 favourites, it means nothing!

Yep you need to remember , aside from the front runners which get slightly overbet cos they'll shortern in running, the majority of the odds on Betfair are correct. So simply dutching by the odds means you're break even at best and because of commission, the fact you're crossing the spread and closing out in running it'd never be a winning strategy.

I couldn't agree more to that. That's why I can say that this system really works.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
