The earliest show will be logged in column Z then when they change they will be logged in column AA, AB, etc.

Hi Gary:

Thx for the spreadsheet.
I have small problems with it, which makes it not useful for me.
Whenever the Sportinglife Website changes the odds i get a flip of the odds in the history
Example, Sportinglife changes the odds from 5,5 to 6
My Spreadsheet looks like this beginning in the colum Y
5,5 ; 6 ; 5,5 ; 6 ; 5,5 ; 6 ;
Any idea why this happens?
Sometimes there are also a few zeros between the odds.
I would really appreciate if you can help me to fix this spreadsheet.

I don't quite understand the problem. Can you explain what you would expect it to show instead?

i think that in col y should not change values during live show as the web page does.Is that right?

No, column Y is ok the way it works
My problem is that if the sportinglife liveodds chances once that i have at least 3 new history columns in the spreadsheet
Lets try another example
Horse A Sporting Live Odds 5/1 , Column Y is 6 which is correct
If now the sporting live show changes to 11/2 i will see the following in the spreadsheet
Column Y trips a few times ( 3 to 4 times ) between 6 and 6,5
Everytime the column trips it fills out new columns in the spreadsheet
So if sportinglife just changes 1 time, i will see on my spreadsheet changes of 3-4 times
( in the example column Y 6,5 ; Z :6; AA: 6,5 ; AB:6 ; AC: 6,5 )
sportinglife just shows 5/1 and 11/2
My problem is that i want to compare each history column, but if they are filled out wrong i can not compare them

Question for Gary

Hi, I have only recently started using BA and have come across the old messages regarding displaying Ladbrokes live prices in Excel alongside the BF data. Back in 2009 it was asked if this link was still working as the cells where the prices should be were displaying VALUE! error messages:

http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/Excel/L ... e_Odds.xls

I have tried it and found the same problem. Is anybody still using this and/or can it be made to work? Any help/guidance gratefully received. Thanks

They must have changed their website. I haven't updated this example for a long time. I'm afraid I don't have any spare time to work on this at present. Maybe someone else on the forum does?

Hi Gary

Thanks for the quick response. Sorry to hear you don't have time available, but interested to see if anybody else has been using this idea successfully and how to implement it.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
