v1.3.0.45e crashes after linking several tabs to Excel

Postby james-h » Sun Jun 21, 2020 10:56 pm

Hi,

Version 1.3.0.45e (that auto-installed today) is crashing in my system after launching Log Multiple Sheets Quick Link. I have a fair amount of tabs open (about 50) but it never crashed with the earlier version. It does launch Excel but it crashes after a few seconds later. I run BA in Parallels with no issue so far before.

I have tried a few things to try to see if there was a problem with how I populated the links to the Excel spreadsheets in BA. For instance, I originally had links to more spreadsheets in BA for future use than tabs I had open and I thought maybe that could be the issue as it does not crash if it is just one or two tabs being linked, but no luck.

I have however managed to go back to the version 1.3.0.44b which seems to work (via http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/Betting ... stant1.msi).

Could you perhaps have a look and advise?

Many thanks,
James

In the meantime, is it possible please to disable the auto update as the old version does not start after a day or so unless the update is allowed?

Change the target of your shortcut to ""C:\Program Files (x86)\Betting Assistant\Betting Assistant.exe""
and not to "BA launcher"

Sorry for the delay. The API has caused quite a few issues the last two weeks keeping us busy. I am looking into this now and will get back to you as soon as possible.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
