Populate Quickpick list in Gruss from Excel

Postby fusela » Wed Mar 09, 2022 1:47 pm

Hi Everyone,
While I know it is possible to record quickpicks from Gruss to Excel using the Export QuickList option. I was wondering if it is possible to this to work on the opposite direction?
So, you have a list of markets in Excel which are then loaded into Gruss at a particular time.
At the moment, I go into gruss and delete the markets in the quick picks list that I am not interested in, but would like to automate this if possible.

I'm fairly sure the software cannot do this but I wanted to check...

Thanks,

As far as I'm aware you can't load a quick list from Excel to Gruss. But there may be other ways for you to automate what you want.

You can navigate markets via excel if you know the marketId number as opposed to market name. You can delete markets from the QPL using Excel so might be an option if you're avoiding certain race types etc. you can also retain the qpl.

Hi Captain Sensible,
I would be able to work with deleting the markets.
I can't find anything about that in the guide - are you able to point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
