Excel Trigger LAY question

Postby struggler148 » Tue Jan 23, 2024 4:31 pm

Is it possible to LAY at BFSP on selections where I specify odds range as >=3.5 & <=21?

I use this formula, =IF(AND(R11>=3.5,R11<=21,$Y$4>=6,AA11>0,$Y$3<2),"LAY",""), to LAY at present but would prefer to LAY at BFSP.

R11 = BFSP

Using above formula, some bets gets entered into market at SP which is below LAY prices and don't get matched.

e.g. bet entered at 4.7 where BEST LAY odds were at 5.0

I have tried using LAYSP & LAY-SP but both return errors.

Thanks.

LAYSP: a bet placed directly at BSP, you can only specify the max limit, the max odds that you are willing to accept
If BSP is lower than yours odds limit it will get matched, the lower the price the better for you
LAY-SP: same as above with the difference that your bet is placed and active in the running market and if odds steam below your limit the bet will get matched at this price. If your bet is not matched during this "market not started" phase it may be matched at BSP if the BSP price is below your upper odds limit

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
