how do I........

Postby nu2here » Sun Jun 14, 2009 2:15 pm

set up the assistant to trigger sound alerts.

I trade mainly football and tennis. I would like to set up the program to trigger sound alerts when the favorite goes a goal down and when they lose the first set.

is this easy to do?

any feedback would be much appreciated

Only sounds available are 0 before the off or when the market is suspended. When a goals scored the market suspends so you could use that ,won't show when the favs one goal down but when the market suspends.

As far as I know they don't suspend when someones a set down so you'll have to use VBA and excel to kick those off possibly using some of the other markets set betting/correct scores etc to get excel trigger sounds if you need to be that precise

You can do this via Excel. I do not know if you are using that facility but if you had it open you can use VBA code within a sheet to play a wav file.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
