http request

Postby hexer » Wed Jul 01, 2009 2:29 pm

I have gotten the Racecard of todays Horse racing from Betfair site through:

http://site.sports.betfair.com/menu/Loa ... ent.frames['menu']&method=getMenuEvents&menuNodeId=13&str"strArrayName=allSkeletonArray&iParentID=13&layerName=allMarketsTreeContainer&strMenuPathArrayName=allPathArray&menuPathLayer=menuParents1&locale=de"

but only until today. since today it is not running. Does somebody have tha actual http request link for screen scrapping the Horse Racecard?

Thanks

Yes, I had to change the old non api version of our software.

Change "sReturnPath=parent.frames['menu']" to "sReturnPath=menu"

Don't think you'll find a list anywhere hexer, I just noticed my bot wasn't scraping the racing menu so figured they'd changed the menu address as it was reporting not found. Evrything else seems to be working OK but most runs via the API and the menu thing was a throwback to some old code I was too lazy to change.

Guess I need to change it to work via the API but to be honest they change the site once in a blue moon so sometimes it's just not worth the effort.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
