Has anyone been using the ladder interface on this version and have you experienced any problems?

No problems so far it's just about all I use and I was using it all yesterday.

Are you thinking about any problems in particular?

Thanks for the feedback.

One user has had a problem where the bets stop updating and then a complete lockup a few minutes after that. I am working with them at the moment to find the cause.

I did notice the day before that I could put bets into the market and they would appear at the side of the ladder but not in the ladder itself, the box was blank.

As far as I remember it was version 63e but it was also not changing markets on the first click as someone else reported. Yesterday morning I downloaded it again from the link you gave saying you had fixed the market selection problem and the other problem has gone as well, but both versions were 63e if I remember rightly.

That is one of the problems they had. I did find something this morning relating to market depth that was not quite right which can cause a delay in it being displayed. A fix will be in the next release. I'm yet to find a cause for it locking up.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
