Likewise.

The service site seems equally dead.

Bit worried - got open trades on the Murray-Verdasco match ...

Site and API down.

Thought it was running poorly today but didn't want to say anything as I'm sure most people think I'm paranoid about the API :)

Just because you're paranoid that doesn't mean you're wrong.....

I was trading on several selections at the time and guess what?

"Shaking Hands" wins at 14/1 before, I could have traded out with a profit!

Thank you very much Betfair!

No doubt a lot other people in the same position.

Any idea what the protocol is in these situations?
Can't remember it happening before ... at least, not to me ...

Do all bets stand?
Or are open events and bets voided?

Please check our dedicated service site http://service.betfair.info for more information about this downtime. - Great idea, only that's down too!

Of course all bets stand, Betfair aren't going to let their failure to provide a service cost them any commission.

I have had this happen to me once before a few years ago.

They certainly did not void the bets and were totally unsympathetic.

This month is a total right-off for me now.

Just hope they do the decent thing and void the race.

Lady luck might be shining on me!

A lot of the "back" side of bet the must have got matched just as the system crashed.

Fingers crossed here they don't take it back out.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
