The Place_Bets.xls example wasn't designed for in play betting. Look at "Using Excel" in the user guide available from the help menu if you have not already done so and then try entering triggers manually with smalls stakes to get a feel for how it works.

It looks like you haven't used upper case where necessary. It is case sensitive.

"everton" will not work you need to specify "Everton" so that it matches Betfair exactly.

Your formula should also have correct case. You have specified "in play", this is not the correct case. It should read as follows.

Cell E2 indicates whether the market is in play and F2 indicates if it is suspended. You need to place the bet when the market is in play and not suspended so for example you can put the following formula in the trigger column. If your refresh rate is 1 second then this formula will be evaluated every second so the bet will be triggered within 1 second of the market going in play.

See http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/forum/v ... php?t=2404 for an example of some VBA code which will update a cell with time in seconds since the market turned in play. You can refer to this cell in your formula to trigger the bet any number of seconds after the market turns in play.
