CLEAR Triggers on excel log prices not working????

Postby Snowman54 » Thu Mar 18, 2010 3:43 am

Hi Guys,
I have been using excel on version 62 with no problems for some time but on tuesday I downloaded new version 65 (now have version66c) and since download the CLEAR triggers don't work ? any ideas why.

I have ticked all 3 boxes in the log prices box refering to the CLEAR triggers, have correctly connected the lay worksheet and results worksheet and enabled the trigger. The auto select is set to 2 minutes and the bot scrolls through the races correctly but as each new race is loaded the bet refs to profit/loss columns (which are cols T to X) fail to clear and retain the info from the previous race thus stopping any future bets on that line. I have updated my excel version from 2003 to 2007, create the programme again from scratch on a blank worksheet but still have the same problem. I use colums Y to AO to show my own formula and hide the colums that I don't need to see.

Any ideas would be much appricated as the only way I can use the programme with the bot is to manually delete columns T to X after each race which defeats the idea of automation

I cannot replicate this problem. Could you send the spreadsheet to admin@gruss-software.co.uk so I can test it?

In the meantime could you try the following test which will only take a few minutes.

1) Use a complete new spreadsheet and don't change anything, eg. hiding columns, changing formatting etc.
2) Link to the spreadsheet and make sure "Clear bet refs on manual select market" is ticked.
3) Enter "test" in any of the bet ref cells
4) Select another market
After step 4 does it remove "test" from the bet ref cells? If it does then repeat this test with the problem spreadsheet. If it doesn't clear then it's something about the spreadsheet causing the problem and I should be able to fix it if you send me a copy. If it does clear then I will need to create a test version for you to log what is happening when it tries to clear the cells.

Hi Gary,

I did rcreate new worksheet before sending query but left cols that had been hidden on old sheet in same position on new. I will run test as suggestted in next hour and if still same will forward 2 copies to your email 1 with all cols showing and the original with hidden cols as they where.

Thanks for your prompt response.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
