I have pre-release version q on my desktop at home, but I had to delete it on my work's laptop today. I have not been on the forum for ages but got a surprise today when I went to reintall it on my laptop tonight, and saw this new BA (API) version.

My laptop suggested that my regionial settings might me incorrect, but they are (united kingdom) and they are crucial for my software to work, plus when I tried to log in it said my username and password are not recognised which obviously makes no sense.

Is there anyway of getting my old pre-release version on my laptop or is there an answer to why I get that message up. Id prefer to get the old version back if possible.

I certainly will not kick up a fuss but wondered if anyone else had the problem, and been able to sort it.

You haven't seen the explanation on the main page of this site. It now users the API and I need you to send me your Betfair username so that I can register it with Betfair.

If you really don't want to use the api version then you can download the old version from http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/Betfair ... er_99q.msi

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
