I get same in ms2010 running on win7. I have to download on my laptop which is ms2007 on vista. Might be to do with p&l figure not being of number format but i dont know why 2010 cant deal with it.

I think it's related to this http://www.mskbarticles.com/index.php?kb=2411912

Betfair will be generating the P&L excel file using 3rd party code. If you're desperate for the data either dual install Excel 2003/2007 along with 2010 or use Openoffice.org

If you dual install Excel the last install becomes default. This can be changed using the Start/Run menu

To unregister - "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\excel.exe" /unregserver

To re-register - "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\excel.exe" /regserver

And ensure you have the correct path and office version, eg OFFICE11, OFFICE12, OFFICE14 etc

Please let us know if/when you solved this issue...At the moment I use OpenOffice to open P&L files.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
