Same Market in Multiple tabs

Postby U.F.O » Thu Apr 14, 2011 9:43 pm

If i have the same Market open in multiple tabs,
are all the tabs refreshed at the exactly the same time or are they done one at a time independently of each other ?.

thanks

Sorry I missed this post. Assuming you are using the Beta version, they are refreshed at exactly the same time from the same prices/bets request.

Hi Gary,

I was running a few excel spreadsheets inplay and I was able to get the refresh rate right down as they all used the same refresh rate. However the refresh rate has gone up and it appears that they are independently refreshing. I have restarted BA and it still happens, any idea why?

Kind regards,

Oliver

Sorry, no idea why that would happen. Are you sure each tab is at the same refresh rate? Have you selected each tab and looked at the refresh rate in betting options and they are all the same?

If they are all the same what is the refresh rate and what does it show next to "Req:" at the top of the screen?

If you are sure there is a problem then I am going to need to send you a test version which logs what is happening as I haven't got a clue.

Hi Gary,

I have tried restarting my computer and that has not helped. So the next thing I did was try 10 worksheets all linked to the same race. I then manually changed all the refresh rates to 0.2 seconds. My req hit my limit of 18 and the refresh rate is about 0.6 seconds. I am using ver 1.1.0.66x57.

The worksheets are not connected to excel.

Please let me know if you need anymore information.

Cheers,

Oliver

Hi Gary,

I have just tested it on the next 2 races and it works perfectly. I have not done anything different to the example below. Very strange. I will keep an eye on it and let you know if it happens again.

Cheers,

While re-checking the code I discovered a bug which causes problems when the first tab is deleted. If you were re-arranging tab pages it might have been the problem. See http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/forum/v ... hp?p=32915

Thanks Gary,

I will have a look at this and let you know what I find, it might be in a few days with the bank holidays coming up.

Cheers,

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
