Simple strategy, but i need help

Postby spread1 » Mon Apr 25, 2011 4:15 am

hi there, this is a great piece of software (BA) but for me up to know I have just used it manually, as I dont have the know how to go further with it,

I have found a simple strategy that more than likely could make a long term profit with tweaking, but I would like to know if BA can help me to place my bets automaticly, without going into excell, as thats way above my head.

This is what i want to do,
ie' I lay a horse at 6.0's before the off

now I go to inplay

on the off --- I then want to place a back bet on a 15 second fill or kill at 10.00, and 16.00,and as long as at least my 10.00 is taken, after the 15 second fill or kill is over, I would like it greened up, if as I hope the horse gets back into the race, and if not,
and things dont go to plan and my 10.0 is not taken, I would need a low back bet in, to hopefully break at least evens

now I have done this manually and it does work, but I could tweak this method to have 2 or 3 runners in the same race, and I was hoping the conditional bets could somehow do this for me,

any ideas, or does it sound a little double dutch? cheers

Sorry that cannot be done without using the Excel feature.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
